What will the program achieve?
Research Goal 1.9 - Develop a core curriculum in occupational safety and health for high school and post secondary students that includes a module on hearing loss prevention

Early in 2006, the curriculum will be made available on the NIOSH young workers web pages as an electronic product. Partners from the Federal Interagency Young Workers Network (Fednet) and partners associated with the State Directors of Career Technical Education will also link to this product and promote it to their constituencies. Academic partners in California, Massachusetts, and Illinois plan to offer train-the-trainer workshops for teachers in those states during 2006. The ASSE, AIHA, and other professional and educational organizations who have expressed interest in the curriculum will become engaged in the dissemination and training process.
