Outputs and Transfer
In this part of the website, you will find descriptions of the results of our research efforts. For every research area subgoal, you will find two sections, Outputs and Transfer, and Intermediate Outcomes.
Outputs and Transfer refer to the end products of research efforts. Journal articles, conference presentations, training materials, patents and new methods are examples of outputs. Transfer activities include efforts by the program to stimulate or support use of research outputs by others.
The Intermediate Outcomes section provides information about what other organizations or people did with the research outputs. We think of intermediate outcomes as happening more independent of NIOSH than transfer activities
You can also find a list of HLR Databases here. This is a listing of databases that were developed by the HLR program. They are the outputs of the program. For each database, you will find a description of the Issue, Approach and Output (the database). You will also see a description of What's Ahead for efforts to promote or enhance the database.
