TYPES OF HAZARD/ EXPOSURE ACUTE HAZARDS/ SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID/
FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Flammable.
NO open flames, NO sparks, and NO smoking.
Foam , carbon dioxide , powder , water in large amounts .
EXPLOSION Above 32C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.
Above 32C use a closed system, ventilation, and explosion-proof electrical equipment.
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
EXPOSURE

 •INHALATION Cough. Sore throat. Headache.
Ventilation (not if powder), local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest.
 •SKIN Redness. Pain.
Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
 •EYES Redness. Pain.
Safety goggles .
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION Abdominal pain. Nausea.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Remove all ignition sources. Personal protection: A/P2 filter respirator for organic vapour and harmful dust. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers, then remove to safe place.
Store only if stabilized. Store in an area without drain or sewer access. Fireproof. Cool. Keep in the dark. Separated from strong oxidants.

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
COLOURLESS CRYSTALS , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

PHYSICAL DANGERS:

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance can form explosive peroxides. The substance decomposes on heating above 170C. Reacts with oxidants.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
TLV: 5 ppm as TWA; (ACGIH 2005).
MAK: 0.5 ppm, 2.7 mg/m;
Peak limitation category: I(1); Pregnancy risk group: D;
(DFG 2008).
OSHA PEL: none
NIOSH REL: TWA 5 ppm (30 mg/m3)
NIOSH IDLH: N.D. See: IDLH INDEX

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is irritating to the eyes , the skin and the respiratory tract .

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
