FIRE	Combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.	NO open flames.	Powder, water spray, foam, carbon dioxide .
EXPLOSION	Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air.	Prevent deposition of dust; closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Prevent build-up of electrostatic charges (e.g., by grounding).

EXPOSURE
•INHALATION	Sore throat. Cough. Burning sensation. Shortness of breath.	Breathing protection.	Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN	Redness.	Protective gloves.	Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
•EYES	Redness. Pain. Burns	Safety goggles.	Rinse with plenty of water (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention.
•INGESTION	Sore throat. Burning sensation.	Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.	Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Give one or two glasses of water to drink.

Personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles. Remove all ignition sources. Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.

The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes including nitrogen oxides . The solution in water is a medium strong base. Reacts with strong oxidants and strong acids .
