Thank you for celebrating N95 Day 2013 with us! If you missed it, you can still check out all the great information through our website and the blog listed below. We look forward to next year!

Happy N95 Day to all users, manufacturers, educators, and general fans of N95 respirators!

Healthcare workers wearing N95 respirators

Our anticipation has been high as we awaited this opportunity to bring the N95 respirator community together through awareness of educational materials promoting the proper use and selection of this piece of personal protective equipment. One of the main events of the day will be the webinar on Debunking the Myths of N95 Respirator Use. Due to the high demand, registration for this event has closed. But don’t worry – we will be posting the audio and slides of the presentation soon after the N95 Day event on the NIOSH National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory website.

N95 day is all about making information accessible. So if you haven’t wandered over to the NIOSH science blog yet, we invite you to check that out. You will find a special N95 day post serving as a Guide to N95 Resources. This one stop shop lists some top N95 web-based information including videos, powerpoint lessons, and tools for respiratory program administrators.

One item we are particularly proud to promote is the brand new NIOSH brochure: Respirator Awareness: Your health may depend on it. This brochure is a clear and simple educational tool highlighting important filtering facepiece respirator information that all users and program administrators should know.

In addition, of course we will be using our social media outputs. Our facebook page is all about N95s today, and all of our debut information will be popping up in that feed. Also, be sure to follow us on twitter @NIOSH and @NPPTL for more N95 Day fun. You certainly won’t be alone. NIOSH partners and friends around the country have been hopping on board the N95 Day train. Official proclamations of the day have been made by the states of Massachusetts, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and from the City of Pittsburgh. Others are showing their support through online means in this web campaign including ISEA, The California Department of Public Health, the Arizona Department of Health Services, and the public health departments within various universities. We want to thank all of our partners and friends for helping N95 Day catch on!
