What does the training consist of?
Currently, the training consists of pre-recorded webcast including archived Net Conference training sessions, as well as accompanying slidesets, as a method to ensure proper training of all NHSN users. Training requirements differ depending on the role of the NHSN user. These training requirements are available at Required Training
How many people at my hospital can participate in the NHSN Net Conference Training?
You may have as many individuals participate in the training as you would like. We recommend that all persons who are likely to enter patient safety or healthcare personnel safety information into NHSN be included. For certain sessions, you may also find it advantageous to include Information Technology staff and/or administrators.
Are the training sessions archived so I can access them again at a later date?
The CDC has a permanent file on the NHSN website which allows you or your colleagues to "attend" any session that you missed or review any information that you may have questions about. These training sessions are available at: NHSN Training
Can we download a copy of these training instructions?
The slide presentations from the training sessions are available at the NHSN Training
