Phase Two Milestones

  • Assessed 11 out of the 11 of the core data sets.
  • Produced and disseminated a report about the ability to link the 11 core data sets.
     

Program Highlights

Technical assistance provided by the state:

  • Send monthly injury prevention technical assistance packets to all 94 local health departments and 7 regional officers of public health within Illinois.
  • Respond to inquiries about injury prevention and injury prevention materials from the general public, schools, hospitals, and other government agencies.

Injury activities initiated within the state:

  • Developed the first draft of a Drowsy Driving Curriculum for drivers education courses.
  • Designed displays on violence, holiday injuries, and general injury to present at conferences and special events.
