Media outreach raises awareness. Can it do more?
Child maltreatment is a significant public health problem in the United States, and preventing it is one of the priorities of CDC’s Injury Center.

Recent news stories about “dry” drowning have surprised many parents since they never heard of it and didn’t realize it was possible.
