Erratum Vol. 7, No. 2
In the article "Economic Impact of Antimicrobial
Resistance,"
by John E. McGowan, Jr., an error occurred in the estimate in the first
paragraph. The second sentence should read, "The Institute of Medicine
estimates the annual cost of infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria
to be U.S. $4 to $5 billion" (1).
We regret any confusion this error may
have caused.
