As of July 15, 2010, most of the programs of the former National Center for Preparedness, Detection, and Control of Infectious Diseases (NCPDCID) and the National Center for Zoonotic, Vector-Borne, and Enteric Diseases (NCZVED) have been officially realigned into a single center, the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID).
As part of this realignment, the former NCZVED’s Division of Viral and Rickettsial Diseases (DVRD) is now part of this new center. It has been renamed the Division of High-Consequence Pathogens and Pathology (DHCPP).
Content from the Division's former web site is being updated and will be migrated to this location. Visit the DHCPP page for additional information.
