Viral Hepatitis: What Every Teenager Needs to Know


This three-part slide set for high school students is designed to maintain and improve health-enhancing student behavior by delivering health content through skill-based learning. Each module takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Upon completion of each one, students take a quiz and receive a certificate of completion. The three modules can be used alone or together.

Objective

  • To give high school HS students basic information and raise awareness about viral hepatitis A, B, and C.
    This includes:
    • Basic scientific facts about the different viruses
    • Basic epidemiology
    • Modes of transmission
    • Prevention measures
    • Available treatment

Usage

  • As a resource for science or health projects
  • As an outline for a teaching-tool
  • As reference material to inform others (e.g., family, friends)
