Task 5: How to Use the What's New Page

In this task, you will review the What's New page to:

 

Step 1: Find New and Updated Data

On the NHANES homepage, shown here on the right, select the link titled What's New from the navigation menu. Review the page and notice that most months are divided into New and Updated sections. Select any data file link to go to the component page where you can download the data file and related documentation. Use your browser's Back button to return to the What's New page.

 

Step 2: Research Changes to Updated Files

In the updated sections, you may also notice the "More..." links. Selecting a "More..." link will tell you more about the changes that were made to the updated file recently and in previous versions of the file, in reverse chronological order. Use your browser's Back button to return to the What's New page.

info iconIMPORTANT NOTE

"More..." links may or may not be present on the What's New page. They are a feature that can appear on the page, but may not always be present on the page.

 

Step 3: Use the What's New Archive

At the bottom of the What's New page, select the What's New - Archive link to review past listings on the What's New page.
