Accessing
the LSOA II linked mortality restricted use file

Data availability
Due to confidentiality requirements, the LSOA II Linked
Mortality Restricted-use
Data are only accessible through the
NCHS Research Data Center (RDC). All
interested researchers must submit a research proposal to the RDC. The RDC
offers both on-site and remote user access. Approved researchers will be
able to analyze data from the
LSOA II
Restricted-use
Linked Mortality
File which contains information
on LSOA II participant eligibility status, vital status, date of death, age
at death, and underlying and contributing causes of death. Additional death
certificate data are available by special request. Requests for access to
special request variables will require additional justification in
the researcher’s RDC proposal. The LSOA II Linked
Morality Restricted-use
File does not contain perturbed data.
