Description:

The shape chart is used to help the respondent describe the amount of food eaten with two or three dimensions. Because there are some foods that are not easily represented by the food models, the shapes offer the respondent another alternative. By looking at the chart, the respondent can determine which shape best describes his or her portion. The chart can also be used along with a ruler.
