CDR Gelting Recognized

CDR Richard J. Gelting, Ph.D. of the Environmental Health Services Branch of NCEH recently received the USPHS Engineering Literary Award (Regulations Category) for the paper “Section 404/401(Wash Crossing Permits) Position Paper: Navajo Area IHS Sanitation Facilities Construction Projects,” which was written when he was Assistant Director of the Sanitation Facilities Branch of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service.

Dr. Gelting also recently received a USPHS Outstanding Unit Citation and NCID Honor Award for his participation in the CDC response to a cholera outbreak in Micronesia.
