To find the BMI of a child who is 33.5 inches tall with a weight of 28.0 pounds, find the height of 33.5 inches in the left column (circled in red) and the weight of 28 pounds on the top row (circled in red). The intersection of these two is the BMI (circled in red). In this example, the BMI is 17.5.
