Paul S. Mead, MD, MPH

Paul S. Mead, MD, MPH is a board certified infectious disease physician with graduate training in public health and ecology. Dr. Mead joined CDC in 1994 as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and currently serves as Chief of the Epidemiology and Surveillance Activity, Bacterial Diseases Branch, Division of Vector-borne Diseases. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications and has worked on medical and public health projects in South Africa, Thailand, Uganda, and Zambia.
