Purpose
The purpose of this program is to announce the availability of fiscal year (FY) 2009 funds to study how neighborhood and environmental factors reduce youth violence perpetration and victimization by promoting nonviolence or buffering against known risk factors. This award is intended to support the development and use of innovative measures of neighborhood structural and social dynamics, such as collective efficacy, social cohesion and/or available neighborhood resources.
