FOA Title: Research Grants to Prevent Unintentional Poisoning from Drug Overdoses
Purpose
1.Build the scientific base for the prevention of unintentional poisonings from drug overdoses in the adult population.
2. Encourage professionals from a wide spectrum of disciplines in epidemiology, medicine, pharmacology, biostatistics, public policy, public health law, and behavioral and social sciences to conduct drug overdose prevention research.
3. Encourage investigators to propose exploratory research that involves the piloting and/or evaluation of novel approaches to drug overdose prevention.
4. Address the priorities reflected in NCIPC’s research agenda related to unintentional poisoning.
