Purpose
The purpose of this solicitation is to announce the availability of fiscal year (FY) 2008 funds to support investigator initiated research grants that will expand and advance our understanding of how to prevent non-occupational injuries and how to minimize their severity when they do occur. This program addresses the “Healthy People 2010” focus area(s) of Injury and Violence Prevention. Measurable outcomes of the program will be in alignment with one (or more) of the following performance goal(s) for the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control: Conduct a targeted program of research to reduce injury-related death and disability.Awarded Projects
