Purpose
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Public Health Research (OPHR) announces the availability of FY 2004 public health research funds to support the development of a qualified and experienced cadre of independent public health researchers to addresses priority health protection issues. Health protection should be interpreted to include activities that 1) promote health/or prevent disease, injury, or disability or 2) protect people from health threats including infectious, environmental, and terrorist threats.
