Purpose
The purpose of the program is to develop and implement scientifically-based multifaceted fall prevention strategies and evaluate their effectiveness in community settings. This program is intended to stimulate collaborative research by creating a community planning infrastructure in which State Health Departments, aging services and researchers partner with, for example, community groups, aging centers, health care providers, clinicians, and social service agencies to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive community-based fall prevention strategies.
