Treatment of Hansen’s Disease
Recommended Treatment*
- All adult patients should receive at least 2 drugs:
- Dapsone 100 mg daily
- And
- Rifampin 450 to 600 mg, 1 dose per month
- A third drug (clofazamine, ethionamide, or protionamide) should be added for patients with lepromatous leprosy.
