Update: Action To Be Taken by Civil Surgeons Based on 2010 Recommendations for the Seasonal Influenza (Flu) Vaccine

This update is based on the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations regarding the use of the influenza vaccination for the 2010-11 influenza season.
Update: TB Technical Instructions for Civil Surgeons Regarding Option of Using Interferon Gamma Release Assay in Place of Tuberculin Skin Test (effective November 1, 2009)

The November 2009 update gives civil surgeons the option of using an interferon gamma release assay (IGRA) in place of the tuberculin skin test to determine whether a chest radiograph is needed to evaluate for pulmonary tuberculosis.
