Rather, these numbers are point estimates derived by subtracting the cumulative number of deaths in persons with AIDS from the estimated cumulative number of persons with an AIDS diagnosis. The estimated number of new AIDS diagnoses and the estimated number of deaths are adjusted for reporting delays, but not for incomplete reporting. Totals were calculated independently; values may not sum to totals due to rounding. |
