White House The White House has issued a National HIV/ AIDS Strategy (NHAS) for the United States. The strategy reflects many of the approaches CDC believes will make the greatest difference in reducing HIV, such as intensifying prevention for individuals with HIV and those at highest risk of becoming infected with HIV, and targeting resources to the interventions and areas where we can have the greatest impact. CDC embraces this strategy and will work to ensure its HIV Prevention Strategic Plan is consistent with – and responsive to – the NHAS.
