  • Webinars
    • Training Webinars for The Recommendations for HIV Prevention with Adults and Adolescents with HIV in the United States, 2014
  • CDC Learning Connection: Connects learners to quality public health and healthcare training opportunities and educational tools developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CDC partners, and other organizations recognized for developing public health training resources.
  • CDC TRAIN: CDC TRAIN provides access to over 1300 courses developed by the CDC programs, grantees, and other funded partners. Courses offered by CDC course providers have been approved and verified by CDC.
  • CDC-funded Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Provider Network. CDC’s flagship program, providing high-impact HIV prevention capacity building assistance and services to community-based organizations, healthcare organizations, and health departments. Requests for assistance are made through CDC's CBA Request Information System (CRIS). If you are a directly funded health department (HD), you may access CRIS directly. HD funded CBOs and HIV planning groups should submit CRIS requests through their state or local HDs funded by CDC.
  • Effective Interventions Website: Resources used by HIV prevention providers such as health departments and community-based organizations so as to provide the best evidence-based HIV prevention services. Includes trainings on Data to Care, Anti-Retroviral Treatment and Access to Service (ARTAS).
  • The National Network of STD Clinical Prevention Training Centers (NNPTC): CDC-funded group of training centers created in partnership with health departments and universities. The PTCs are dedicated to increasing the knowledge and skills of health professionals in the areas of sexual health.
  • The TARGET Center: Administrated by HRSA, the Target Center provides technical assistance (TA) and training resources for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. Audience includes Ryan White grantees and providers, planning bodies, HRSA/HAB staff, consumers in search of services, various health and human service agencies, and the general public.
  • AIDS Education and Training Center National Multicultural Center (AETC-NMC): Resource for training, education, and technical assistance to clinicians, providers and organizations in multicultural HIV/AIDS care.
  • AETC National Resource Center: a national network of leading HIV experts who provide locally based, tailored education, clinical consultation and technical assistance to healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations to integrate state-of-the-science comprehensive care for those living with or affected by HIV. The network is comprised of 8 regional centers, 3 national centers, and 5 graduate/health profession programs.
  • National HIV/AIDS Clinicians' Consultation Center: Resources for health care providers to obtain timely and appropriate responses to clinical questions related to treatment of persons with HIV infection and/or possible health care worker exposure to HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.

Funding, Billing, and Reimbursement Resources

  • CDC’s Prevention Funding Announcements: provides updated information on locating and applying for current CDC HIV Prevention funding opportunities and grants. Also includes information on allocation of CDC's annual HIV prevention budget, guidelines on AIDS-related written materials and links to both governmental and non-governmental funding databases.
  • Resources on the Changing Health System: Relevant guidance to help direct service-providing health departments bill third party payers.
  • NASTAD: Billing and Reimbursement Resources: Assessments and resources to assist health departments and safety net providers building their capacity to participate in third party billing and reimbursement.
  • Interim Billing and Financial Worksheets:  SAMHSA September 2014 Worksheets to cross-compare Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) billing and diagnostic codes for integrated health services.

  • Directory of Capacity Building Assistance Provider Network. Funded by CDC to strengthen community-based organizations, health departments, and healthcare organizations in their high-impact HIV prevention initiatives.
  • Referral Link from American Academy of HIV Medicine: Searchable directory of medical and social services for persons with HIV, including provider and agency contact information.
  • The National Clinicians' Post-Exposure Prophylaxis Hotline (PEPline). Offers clinicians up-to-the-minute advice on managing occupational exposures (i.e., needle sticks, splashes, etc.) to HIV, hepatitis and other blood-borne pathogens. PEPline clinicians will respond to your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phone 888-448-4911.
  • The National Perinatal HIV Consultation and Referral Service (Perinatal HIV Hotline). http://www.nccc.ucsf.edu/about_nccc/warmline/. Offers clinical consultation and advice regarding the management of HIV in pregnant women, HIV testing in pregnancy, and the care of HIV-exposed infants. Clinical consultations are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phone 888-448-4911.
