ACTIVITY OBJECTIVE(S): After this activity, participants will be able to
1. List the health topics addressed in the SHI.
2. Link the eight modules of the SHI with the eight components of a coordinated school health program.
3. List and order the steps involved in implementing the SHI.

Now that I’ve given you an overview of the SHI, we will conduct an activity to help familiarize you with the SHI and its various parts. As I hand out your Test Your Knowledge questions, please keep them face down until I say “go.” This handout asks some questions that a school health champion may face when trying to complete the SHI. Use your SHI notebook to help answer the questions. The first person to finish should yell out “SHI!” (Hand out copies of Test Your Knowledge.)
