Description: STD Awareness Month is an annual observance to call attention to the impact of STDs and to promote STD testing across the country, especially among adolescents and young adults who account for nearly half of all STD cases.

National Public Health Week

Description: National Public Health Week, championed by the American Public Health Association (APHA), is an annual observance to recognize important contributions of public health. Each year, APHA develops a national campaign to educate the public, policymakers, and practitioners about public health issues.

National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Audience: National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a nationwide effort led by Advocates for Youth to acknowledge and address the needs of young people in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Youth across the nation will encourage their peers to get tested and fight the stigma around HIV.
