The application period for this FOA closed on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. U.S. E.S.T.

The CDC-Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) has released a new funding opportunity announcement (FOA), RFA-1308: Promoting Adolescent Health Through School-Based HIV/STD Prevention and School-Based Surveillance. The FOA supports efforts to

  • conduct school-based surveillance on youth risk behaviors and school health policies and practices;
  • implement school-based programs and practices designed to reduce HIV infection and other STDs among adolescents; and
  • reduce disparities in HIV infection and other STDs among specific adolescent populations.

This FOA combines two previously separate FOAs: one for funding national nongovernmental organizations to build the capacity of education-agency HIV/STD prevention programs and one for state, local, and territorial agencies.

This page provides resources, documentation, and other applicant support materials for organizations applying for FOA CDC-RFA-PS13-1308, Promoting Adolescent Health Through School-Based HIV/STD Prevention and School-Based Surveillance. The FOA application deadline was Friday, April 26, 2013, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. E.S.T. The project period is 5 years, with a 12-month budget period and an anticipated award date of August 1, 2013. Detailed instructions to apply can be found in the Application and Submission Information section of the FOA.
