ERRB - Central America

El Salvador
As part of the CDC and Landmine Survivors Network’s (LSN) cooperative agreement, the Emergency Response and Recovery Branch (ERRB) supports LSN’s landmine survivors peer support network. In coordination with the Pan American Health Organization and with CDC's Division of Violence Prevention, ERRB also supports a landmine injury surveillance system in El Salvador.

Haiti
Emergency Response and Recovery Branch (ERRB) was heavily involved in the immediate response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Branch members deployed to Haiti and were seconded to international partners in the response as well playing a leadership role in the CDC Incident Command Structure. Actions in Haiti included an initial rapid assessment of health needs and an assessment of water and sanitation among camps of displaced people. ERRB has a continued commitment to working with Haiti as it rebuilds from the earthquake.

Nicaragua
In coordination with the Pan American Health Organization and with CDC's Division of Violence Prevention, the Emergency Response and Recovery Branch (ERRB) supports a landmine injury surveillance system in Nicaragua.
