Training Materials

The IDSR Training Modules (2010) provide a comprehensive course for teaching the content of the IDSR Technical Guidelines. The course includes a set of modules for participants and a companion guide for the facilitator with supplemental instruction. The course will soon be available in French and Portuguese.

SurvCost 1.0, a tool to estimate the cost of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response. 2007 SurvCost is a spreadsheet-based tool developed to aid public health officials to estimate the cost of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) systems at national, region/ province, district, and health facility levels.

IDSR provides technical assistance for improving systems such as the development of laboratory networks. The Guide for National Public Health Laboratory Networking supports skills for laboratorians in the safe collection, handling, storing, transporting and processing of specimens for confirming suspected public health threats.

Job Aids for Laboratory Confirmation complements the Guide for National Public Health Laboratory Networking by providing bench aids for laboratorians.
