How is GPHIP expanding its reach and leveraging its expertise in Informatics?

Informatics projects require a diverse team of experts in a variety of disciplines including computer science, information and communication technology, architecture, standards, education, medicine, epidemiology, public health analysis, budget analysis, project management, global information systems, database analysis and more. The GPHIP team has extensive in-country experience with project development, deployment, and implementation. The program leverages resources and areas of expertise by collaborating with global partners and working with CDC internal and external partners.
What are GPHIP’s areas of focus?
- Promoting biosecurity by improving collection and use of laboratory-based data and better tracking of biologic samples within biologic facilities
- Developing comprehensive public health informatics strategies, standards, and architecture
- Working with public health practitioners, epidemiologists, and laboratorians to develop public health information systems and improve patient care
