IETA Application Process
The application cycle for this year has not yet officially opened. Please check this site again in late August 2012 when the IETA program will post the application for its 2013 Cohort 15.
The expected due date for receipt of application is close of business Friday, October 12, 2012.
At a minimum, the complete application package will require:
- Complete application form with first-level and second-level supervisor signatures
- Brief responses (2 pages maximum) to 6 questions provided in the application
- Current résumé
- Most recent full-year performance appraisal rating or COER rating (cover sheet only with rating official's signature)
Please note that after being accepted into the program you are required to pass a medical clearance before departing overseas for assignment. Chronic illnesses (e.g. diabetes), recent surgeries or cancer diagnoses may disqualify you from participating in the IETA program. If you have an existing medical condition, we recommend contacting Lee Ann Jean-Louis (lgj4@cdc.gov; 404.498.4775) at the CDC Office of Health & Safety (OHS) to discuss the medical clearance process before applying to the program.
If you have questions specific to the IETA program and its application cycle, please call 404.718.8874 or e-mail ieta@cdc.gov
