Definition of Fungal Keratitis

Keratitis is an inflammation of the cornea (the clear, front part of the eye) and is often caused by an infection. Bacteria, viruses, amoeba, and fungi can all cause keratitis. Fungal keratitis is an inflammation of the cornea that is caused by a fungus.
