Case Fatality Ratios

The case fatality ratio is calculated as follows: 

Number of cases reported to FoodNet in 2015 in which patient died divided by Number of cases reported to FoodNet in 2015 multiplied by 100

 

Patients’ vital status is recorded at hospital discharge (if hospitalized) or at 7 days after the specimen collection date (if not hospitalized).
