Epilepsy Often Comes With Other Health Issues

Chart: Percentage of adults with select non-psychiatric chronic disease comorbities by epilepsy status - 2010 NHIS

The figure shows the percentage of adults with selected non-psychiatric conditions, by number of conditions and epilepsy status in the United States in 2010. Adults with epilepsy, especially active epilepsy, were more likely to report four or more medical comorbidities and less likely to report no other comorbidities than adults without epilepsy.
