How to Participate
To be considered for participation, see the instructions, below:
- Submit the following information (as attachments) in one email to scienceambassador@cdc.gov
- Curriculum vitae or résumé
- A copy of your current teaching certificate
- A sample of a lesson plan you have developed
- A personal statement describing your interest, goals, and expectations of the program, and how you plan to apply skills and lessons learned from the workshop (limit 500 words)
- Request letters of recommendation (2)
- Request the school principal and the science department chairperson to email a letter directly to scienceambassador@cdc.gov with the subject line "Science Ambassador Recommendation for [NAME]"
Deadline for submission is Friday, May 3, 2013.

| Contact top candidates within two weeks of receipt of complete package | |
| Selected participants notified within one week of contact | |
| June 17, 2013 | Workshop begins |
