Innovative Approaches for Combating Antimicrobial Resistance
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) solicits exploratory/developmental (R21) and small research grant (R03) applications for novel and innovative research, including high risk and high payoff studies in nontraditional fields to enhance the understanding of the factors affecting the development of resistant pathogens and spread of resistance genes, in order to direct actions to diagnose, control and treat antimicrobial resistance.

Inter-Mountain Project on Antimicrobial Resistance and Therapy (IMPART)
IMPART is designed to track the spread of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and improve use of antimicrobial drugs in rural areas of Idaho and Utah. The website includes tools for clinicians and infection control practitioners, including algorithms, fact sheets, and a decision support program that can be downloaded to a personal digital assistant (PDA).
