Public Health Action Plan to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance
To help make the Action Plan and Progress Report more user-friendly and accessible, the ITFAR now publishes the Action Plan and Progress Report as one interactive web document. In this document, readers can search for keywords, scroll through the entire Action Plan or jump to specific sections, view progress reports for projects, and print the entire document in PDF format. Since this new format has differences in layout and functionality in comparison with the old document (improving performance and accessibility), some introductory instructions are listed below for navigating through the new webpage.
To navigate through the website, scroll over the menu bar at the top to see a list of all Focus Areas, Goals, and Actions and to jump to specific Focus Areas, Goals, and Actions if desired. These features are color coded to identify each section. The use of these colors does not affect the performance of this document. Colors were added for the look and feel and for ease in identifying each Focus Area. The navigation system was designed to give direct access to the information when needed and allow for mobility throughout the pages. Please note that the Action Plan menu bar will follow you wherever you are on the page for easy access to the information.
The ITFAR has instituted a new numbering system for projects based on the year in which each project was started. To help transition to the new numbering system, all projects that were listed in the 2012 and 2011 Action Plans have their original number listed in the column marked “Previous Listing.”
For each project, the most recent progress report can be shown by, clicking on the adjacent link “Show Progress Report.”
The column marked “Reporting Agency” lists the primary agency responsible for coordinating each project. For many projects, multiple agencies are involved, but the coordinating agency is responsible for reporting progress.
To search the Action Plan for specific key words, use the Ctrl-F function similar to all other websites.
To print the Action Plan and Progress Report as a PDF document, use the menu bar at the top, scroll over to the “Print” button, and select “PDF Format.”
