From 1997 to 2007, hospital discharge rates for Ulcer/Inflammation/Infection (ULCER) as first-listed diagnosis per 1,000 diabetic population showed a decreasing trend for both male and female. In 2007, the hospital discharge rate for ULCER was 6.4 for male and 5.1 for female.
