Age-Adjusted Percentage of Adults Aged 60 Years or Older With Diagnosed Diabetes Who Needed Assistance With Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL),* by Sex, United States, 1997–2008

From 1997 to 2008, the age-adjusted percentage of adults aged 60 years or older with diagnosed diabetes who needed assistance with IADL was higher among women than among men. Throughout the time period, the age-adjusted percentage of men and women who needed assistance with IADL showed little change, and the percentage among women were about twice that of men.
