Heart Disease Death Rates, Total Population Ages 65+


Geographic Patterns:
Heart Disease Death Rates for 2018 through 2020 for Adults Aged 65 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest heart disease death rates – meaning the top quintile – are located primarily in Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Guam.  Pockets of high-rate counties also were found in Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, and Nevada.
