One-Third of People with Epilepsy and Recent Seizures Have Not Seen a Neurologist in Past Year
This figure shows that, among people with epilepsy, 56% reported no recent seizures and 44% reported recent seizures. Of the 44% who reported recent seizures, 29% said they had seen a neurologist in the past year, while 15% said they had not seen a neurologist in the past year. Source: MMWR 2008;57(SS-6).
