Causing Pain Video and Discussion Guide

Causing Pain: Real Stories of Dating Abuse and Violence includes two videos and a discussion guide. These are designed to educate teens, parents, and other adults about healthy and unhealthy dating relationships and help them recognize warning signs for dating violence.

Causing Pain is the winner of two FREDDIE Awards, in both the behavioral diseases category and the prestigious Helen Hayes Award of Distinction, recognizing the finest educational entry of 2006.

The 13-minute Causing Pain video is targeted to teens, and provides information about dating violence and its consequences, and ways to prevent it in their own lives and the lives of their friends.

The 30-minute Causing Pain video contains true stories of teens, parents, and professionals who have been in or witnessed abusive relationships. The video features their experiences and insights so that teens and parents can recognize and prevent dating violence in their own lives or in the lives of their friends.
