Alaska Cancer Registry
- Electronic Laboratory Reporting: The Alaska Cancer Registry (ACR) began setting up the Public Health Information Network (PHIN) Messaging System (MS) in January, 2009. A year later, it installed eMaRC Plus software to access information, and received the first batch of files from LabCorp successfully on February 8, 2010.
- Registry Data Contribute to Community Discussion of Coal Mine Project: In response to public concerns, the Alaska Cancer Registry (ACR) provided data for a study related to industrial and environmental contaminants to determine whether cancer incidence rates were statistically significant higher.
