New Jersey State Cancer Registry
- Analyzing Geographic Disparities in Colorectal Cancer Survival: We applied geographic methods designed to determine whether patient survival varies by place of residence after adjusting survival times for well-known prognostic factors.
- Analyzing Insurance Status and Cancer Survival: The New Jersey State Cancer Registry provided data for female breast, colorectal, lung, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and urinary bladder cancer cases diagnosed between 1999 and 2004 among persons aged 18 to 64 years.
- Analyzing Insurance Status and Cancer Outcomes: To improve the completeness of insurance status in the registry, we matched cancer cases without insurance information to Hospital Patient Discharge Uniform Billing files.
