Hospital Validate and Edit Abstracted Data

Validating and editing abstracted data is the process of verifying that recorded data in the cancer registry abstract meets logic, consistency, and data validity standards.

The majority of this use case has been implemented in most hospital cancer registry software. Additional consensus best practices are included in the use case for possible future implementation.

The use case is the business process of a cancer registry and its interaction with internal actors (those who perform the process) and external actors (recipients of the process).

A data flow diagram shows the detailed procedural flow of control of the function.

A workflow diagram shows the overall procedural flow of the function.
