2005 BRFSS Conference
22nd Annual Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Conference

The 22nd Annual BRFSS Conference is over. Information is provided for reference only.

Data into Action: 22 Years of BRFSS

March 5–9, 2005
Sheraton Atlanta Hotel
Atlanta, Georgia

You are invited to join us for our 22nd Annual Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Conference. This conference will showcase the successful application of BRFSS data by state-based programs such as diabetes, cancer prevention, tobacco and alcohol use prevention, family planning, nutrition and physical activity, and oral health.

The purpose of the annual conference is to determine the content of the 2006 BRFSS Survey and update attendees regarding state-of-the-art behavioral risk factor monitoring, methodologies, and technological innovations.

Since 1984, CDC's Behavior Surveillance Branch has held annual meetings with state coordinators to plan and discuss the BRFSS survey. Typical attendees include survey coordinators, field supervisory staff, epidemiologists, and others from all over the United States interested in the administration and analysis of BRFSS data. The conference will provide opportunities for networking among state BRFSS coordinators, data collection contractors, and others interested in surveillance systems.

This year’s conference will be held March 5-9, 2005, at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, located at 165 Courtland Street at International Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30303. The conference room rate is $113 single, $113 double, plus 15% state and local tax. For your convenience, hotel reservations can be made by calling Atlanta Hotel reservations. The direct telephone number is 404-659-6500. The reservation cutoff date for the conference room rate is February 2, 2005.

The conference registration fee is $250. Conference registration will open December 6, 2004, and can be submitted online. Participants who register after February 2, 2005, must pay a $35 late registration fee.
