The Doctor Is Not Available

The 1-2-3 Approach to Provider Outreach is a social marketing strategy aimed at raising awareness among primary care providers (PCPs) about the benefits of community-based chronic disease self-management education and physical activity interventions. The approach is built around direct-to-provider outreach to encourage PCPs to recommend local self-management classes to their patients with chronic disease. This video follows a novice marketer as she conducts an outreach visit with a local practice. In this segment, she makes her pitch to the office manager because the doctor is unavailable. Use her experience to refine your approach and identify potential mistakes to avoid.
